"I have a deep passion for the natural world, with my work particularly focused on trees and gardens. I paint what I believe in—subjects that move me and reflect my connection to nature.

I sketch and paint on location, often creating small oil or watercolour studies. These works inform the colour, atmosphere, and composition of my larger studio paintings in oil.

I spent extended periods of time in Canada during my teens and twenties, and the wilderness there had a profound influence on me. Today, I seek out pockets of wildness within the over-tidy countryside surrounding my home."
