All my work is inspired by the natural world; sometimes it depicts wildlife, sometimes a natural form, often it is a combination of the two. Embrace is one of the first pieces that is purely abstract although it is inspired by the shape of a wing and derived from the body form of Thoth. It is a piece that involves the viewer; as well as being able to walk around it they can walk through it and connect with the sculpture in a different way, there is also an acoustic element as the surrounding sounds bounce off the internal walls.
