"My
most recent plein air drawing project is titled: ‘CONFLUENCE’- researching and
drawing the sources, tributaries and confluences of the five chalk rivers
(Avon, Bourne, Ebble, Nadder and Wylye) which define and shape the geography of
South Wiltshire, flowing towards and through Salisbury. They have all been made
on location since January 2024, throughout the seasons and in all weathers,
exploring rivers and streams from flooded winter torrents in full flow, through
to dried- up winterbornes in the summer heat. Each mixed- media drawing also
has a written narrative of things I experienced while drawing, such as
wildlife, sounds, the weather and more."
