Neil Bousfield is a British relief printmaker, Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and elected member of the Society of Wood Engravers. Raised on the North Yorkshire coast and based in Norfolk since 2010, his work explores the fragile relationship between land and sea.
His engravings address coastal erosion, rising sea levels and climate change, extending observations of low-lying landscapes to vulnerable shorelines worldwide. Working in multi-layered relief printmaking, he creates atmospheric, technically innovative images with a strong environmental focus.
