Standing at an elegant 2.4 metres tall, the Allium sculpture is a striking interpretation of one of nature’s most delicate and spherical floral forms. Composed of over 1,000 individually hand-forged metal components, each piece has been meticulously crafted and assembled to capture the intricate beauty of the allium flower. Made from mild steel, the sculpture’s surface has been acid etched and finished with oil to preserve its rich, rusted patina—a finish that deepens over time and enhances its organic feel. The result is a harmonious blend of industrial strength and botanical grace, echoing nature’s symmetry while celebrating the raw integrity of hand-forged metalwork. Radiating outward in a perfect sphere, the structure evokes a sense of movement, lightness, and life—making it both a sculptural centrepiece and a contemplative form. Perfectly suited for gardens, courtyards, or open landscapes, this piece invites viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the art of nature reimagined.
